Monday’s town hall will focus on U.S. Rep. Michael Rulli, R-6th, who won his seat after Bill Johnson resigned to become president of Youngstown State University. Walz’s visit continues the ongoing Democratic efforts to challenge Trump-aligned lawmakers in battleground areas.
Tim Walz, who ran alongside Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, has been touring Republican-held congressional districts to criticize opposition to President Donald Trump’s administration. His visits also aim to highlight the lack of public engagement from GOP representatives.
